How old must you be to go on a Italy by Kayak trip? Can I bring my teenage daughter?

For safety and insurance reasons, you need to be at least 18 to join an Italy by Kayak trip on your own. Teens aged 15–17 are welcome too, as long as they’re accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please note, though, that our adventures aren’t designed for teens, they’re created with adult travelers in mind.

Are there toilets & changing rooms?

When we launch/land directly from/to the hotel, you’ll have access to your own room facilities for changing and freshening up.

At other launch/landing sites, there may not be dedicated changing rooms or toilets, only basic restroom in nearby cafés.

We recommend bringing an outdoor or surf changing poncho for comfort.

While out on the water, the only “toilet” is nature itself, which means getting wet is part of the adventure.

What is the group size on your trips?

We believe the best adventures happen in small, welcoming groups. On our journeys, you’ll be part of a group of up to 6 people, just the right size to capture the spirit of each destination.

It’s the sweet spot: enough connection to spark lasting friendships, yet plenty of room to enjoy those magical moments of awe on your own.

Traveling with more than 6 in your group? Reach out to us and we’ll find a way to make it work.

What does your Physical Rating mean?

Easy: gentle pace with light activity, about 1–4 hours a day. Perfect for a relaxed adventure.

Easy–Moderate: a bit more active, with 3–5 hours of movement daily.

Moderate: requires a good fitness level. Expect 3–5 hours of activity each day with moderate challenges.

Moderate–Challenging: strenuous at times, averaging 5–7 hours of activity most days. Some pre‑trip training may be needed depending on your fitness level. Check with your kayak club or coach.
